Learn About the NeighborHub

Welcome to the Longmont NeighborHub, your neighborhood's digital gathering place and engagement platform!

Are you looking for a way to be more engaged with your neighborhood but don't have the time? Want to share your thoughts on projects happening in your neighborhood? Wishing you had a way to learn more about what is happening in your neighborhood and connect with your neighbors? Welcome to the Longmont NeighborHub, where you can share ideas with your fellow neighbors, contact your Neighborhood Representatives, participate in meaningful discussions around neighborhood projects and more!

Whether you only have 5 minutes to pop-in and see what is happening or have a little bit of extra time but would prefer to participate in neighborhood discussions from the comfort of your own home, we hope that you find the NeighborHub a useful tool for staying connected with your neighborhood.

Longmont NeighborHub is a service provided by the City of Longmont for active neighborhood groups registered with the Neighborhood Group Leaders Association (NGLA). Each neighborhood is responsible for managing the content on their individual page. NGLA is a network of neighborhood-based community groups that partners with the City of Longmont to cultivate individual leadership and knowledge, facilitate community group empowerment and engagement, catalyze collective action and holistic solutions at the neighborhood scale, and build beneficial networks and relationships with the City.

Question: How do I start participating?

To participate for the first time, simply:

  • Sign up for the NeighborHub by clicking on the "Sign In" button or the "Register" button in the top right of any page
  • Choose a username and password
  • Answer a few quick questions about yourself and your household
  • You will receive an email to validate your email address
  • Return to the website and click the "sign-in" 'button

Question: Why do I need to register in order to participate?

Registering ensures that you have access to your specific neighborhood! Because this engagement site is offered to multiple neighborhoods throughout Longmont, the registration form includes a question about what neighborhood you live in - this tells the system to give you access to your neighborhood only.

Question: Who is responsible for maintaining my neighborhood page?

Your neighborhood has chosen a project administrator(s) - these are typically NGLA Neighborhood Representatives or other Community Leaders who are volunteering to help with the site maintenance. Your page will have a section with the name, photo and contact information of those in your neighborhood who are responsible for maintaining the site, usually in the top right corner.

Question: What happens to my feedback and comments?

Your project administrator will use your feedback to help make important decisions regarding your neighborhood.

Question: Is my privacy protected?

Yes! Your privacy is protected and the city will only use your email address to provide you with neighborhood specific information from the City of Longmont or to contact you on behalf of your Neighborhood Group.

Your email address will not be distributed to any third party or used for any other purpose. We do not ask for your personal details or require them at any time as part of your participation. The registration information you provide will only be used in aggregate and cannot be used to personally identify you. For more information, refer to the platform Privacy Policy or contact Community and Neighborhood Resources at the City of Longmont: neighborhub@longmontcolorado.gov or 303-651-8444.

Question: Who do I contact if I have questions about the content on the NeighborHub?

If you have questions about the content on your neighborhood page, please reach out to your neighborhood representative/project administrator. Their contact information can be found on the top right side of your neighborhood page.

Question: Who do I contact if I have technical questions about the NeighborHub?

If you have questions about your registration or difficulty using the site please contact support@engagementhq.com.

Question: What if my neighborhood doesn't have a page?

The NeighborHub is only available to neighborhoods represented by community groups registered with the Neighborhood Group Leaders Association and is currently rolling out to registered neighborhoods throughout 2021. If your neighborhood does not have an active neighborhood group, contact Community and Neighborhood Resources to learn how to create one at ngla@longmontcolorado.gov.
